The Ultimate Reader for Mac Users
Would you like to collect your Twitter feeds, Facebook updates, Google Reader subscriptions, Flickr photos and more into one beautifully designed reader? If so, you’ll want to take EventBox for a test drive.

The interface is typical Mac with the sidebar displaying your services. The read pane shows each message type with its own theme (can you guess which ones are photos?) and tool icons on the right appropriate for each service. Not only can you post tweets and status updates from EventBox, you can also upload photos from here.
It’s totally configurable – from setting update frequency to how you’re notified of new content to how you want to manage read content. For newsfeeds, you can choose read the article right in the reader or go directly to the originating site in the application of your choice.

EventBox currently supports Twitter, Facebook, Google Reader, Flickr, Digg, Identi.ca, Reddit, and anything you can retrieve via RSS. The developers plan to include del.icio.us, Last.fm and Orkut in the future.
Although it’s still a beta application, it shows a lot of maturity. I’m going to test drive it a while and see if it lives up to its potential as my new best friend for keeping up with all my BFFs. If so, it will be well worth the $15.
